Pauline Meins

Pauline Margaret Meins, 101, of Stuttgart, widow of Raymond “Buddy” Meins, joined her husband who was the love of her life on Monday, May 13, 2024, at her home.

Mrs. Meins was born May 3, 1923, in Stuttgart to Albert William and Margaret Hefty Conrad. The life-long homemaker was an amazing and loving farmer’s wife, mother and grandmother. She worked alongside her husband, maybe not in the field, but ran a tight ship at home never sparring the rod and always making her children clean their plates, even the little green peas. She was an avid gardener, loved to go dancing, fishing with Nellie Conrad and Margie Robnett catching fish and drinking beer and relaxing at their vacation home in Hot Springs. She was also very involved in Grief Share and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She will be missed by many.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Matilda Beard; brothers, Ruben Conrad and Herman Conrad; and grandson, Jake Meins.

Survivors are two sons, Scott Meins (Brenda) and Dean Meins (Alberta) of Stuttgart; three daughters, Judy Meins Williams of Maumelle, Kerry Meins Ives of Stuttgart and Tami Meins Strain (Wynn) of Melbourne; 10 grandchildren, Robert Williams (Leonna), Audra Glasgow (David), Jill Bulloch (Rusty), Kirk Meins (Monica), Brooke Meins, Kelly Jones (Freddy), Tina Harvey (Ryan), Deena Fisher (Shane) and Britton Strain (Chesley); and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at St. John’s Lutheran Church with funeral services, officiated by Pastor Don White, following at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.

Her family requests memorials be made to Jake Meins Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o F&M Bank-Trust Dept., P.O, Box 1010, Stuttgart, Ark. 72160; St. John’s Lutheran Church, 205 E.
