Otho Edward "Eddie" Anderson Jr.

Otho Edward Anderson Jr., 77, of Stuttgart passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Baptist Health-Springhill.

Eddie, as he was known, was born Aug. 19, 1948, in Stuttgart to Otho Edward Anderson Sr. and Bertha Inez VanCleave Anderson. He was a Stuttgart High School graduate and retired as a technician for GTE for years before his employment with Lennox where he also retired. He was a member of Stuttgart Jaycees when the club was active and Little League Baseball Committee. He was also a founding member of Three Oaks Hunting Club.

Eddie was known as “the” collector of watches and a Dillards bargain shopper. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved corvettes and owned several. He enjoyed reading Tom Clancey books, among many others. He loved Vegas and looked forward to his next trip to the casinos there.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Fields; and brothers, William Anderson and Alvin Anderson.

Survivors are his partner-in-life, Lynn Walton of Stuttgart; sons, Eddie Anderson III of White Hall and Michael Anderson and wife Katrina of Stuttgart; special daughter, Allison Anderson of White Hall; brother, Carl Anderson (Gina Seidenschwarz) of Stuttgart; sisters, Bessie Duch, Betty Dubert and Willie Hodges, all of Stuttgart, Sue (Gary) Karr of Almyra and Donna Anderson of Malvern; seven grandchildren, Taylor Anderson, Peyton (Kameron) Fox, Chandler Anderson, Jaxson Anderson, Katelyn Anderson, Harlee Anderson and Paxton Anderson; and three great-grandchildren, Bryson Walker, Gabe Trail and Maggie Fox.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Bayou Meto Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
