Mary Jane McCollum, 81, of Little Rock, formerly of Stuttgart, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2024, surrounded by family.
She was born Jan. 4, 1943, to Herbert and Dolly Scherm Davis who preceded her in death. She was a 1960 graduate of Stuttgart High School and was a devout member of the Catholic church where she sang in the church choir. Mary Jane worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank for 37 years holding various positions in the loan and credit/collateral departments making a huge impact in the growth of the bank. She was an avid reader who loved her animals, gardening, walking around the neighborhood, and her horse Whiffle. She was loved by all and will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors are her son and his family who she adored, Marion Dodd McCollum, wife Tammy and their daughter Ava Kate of Little Rock; two brothers, Frank Davis and wife Veleta of Maumelle and Donnie Davis and wife Lindsey of Tonitown; and sister, Linda McCollum and husband Bud of Stuttgart.
A memorial service, officiated by Father Babu Battula and Deacon Greg Fischer, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday with Rosary being said at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A private family burial will take place later.
