Martha Sue Millerd

Martha Sue Millerd, 84, widow of Jim Tom Millerd, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at her home.

Mrs. Millerd was born April 6, 1939, in Bonham, Texas, to Albert and Beulah Grant Apple. She spent many years following her kids around playing ball and she enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and working crossword puzzles. She and her husband owned and operated Millerd’s Jiffy Joe’s for years and she was a Baptist.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Hank Thomas Millerd; five brothers; and seven sisters.

Survivors are four sons and their wives, Frank and Verna Millerd of Little Rock, Mike and Jana Millerd of Stuttgart, Stanley and Rae Millerd of Bella Vista and Ricky and Lisa Millerd of Kansas City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 9 a.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home with private funeral services, officiated by Bro. Gregg Greenway, following at 10 a.m.
