Larry Ray Drennan, 84, of Casscoe, formerly of Cayuga, Texas, departed this life on Monday, April 29, 2024.
Larry was born June 29, 1939, to Ray and Janie Drennan. He graduated from Cayuga High School and attended college at Texas A&M at Commerce, Texas, where he graduated with a degree. He went back to Cayuga where he taught children, started the football program there and later became the principal. After retiring from school, he went to work for a water company. Larry loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, even working as a fish guide. Larry was a member of Hunter’s Chapel Methodist Church.
Larry was preceded in death by his father Ray and mother Janie, and his sister Nancy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Brenda Drennan; daughters, Pam (Jay) Johnson, Jana (Lynn) Isbell and Debbie Drennan, all of Malakoff, Texas, Alice (David) Smith of Clarendon and Maxine (Doug) Shelton of Casscoe; son, Brad (Jessica) Pace of Bullard, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Hunter’s Chapel Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home.
