Kay Lyn Longnecker Farmer, 61, of Benton passed away peacefully Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Hospice Home Care following a two-and-a-half-year battle with colon cancer.
Kay was born July 10, 1961, in Stuttgart to Ray and Maxine Hildebrand Longnecker. She was a graduate of Stuttgart High School and worked in grain sales at Riceland for over 20 years. She was a do-it-yourself gal who enjoyed crafts and loved making jewelry. She loved God and spending time with family and friends. Kay was a kind-hearted woman and loving mother and Mimi Kay.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Max Longnecker; and a sister, Teresa Gail Longnecker.
Survivors are her children, Corey Farmer and fiancé Jamie Summers of Stuttgart and Tamaira Henderson of Benton; brother, Billy Longnecker and wife Connie of Stuttgart; sister, Raye West of Stuttgart; three grandchildren, Taylor Lauren Henderson, C.J. Farmer ad ShyAnne Farmer; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Don White, are 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home.
