Jerry Lee Maier

Jerry Lee Maier passed away February 21, 2026, at his home in Stuttgart, surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Born October 1, 1953, in Newport, AR he was later adopted by Eldon and Otella Maier of Stuttgart.

He grew up on the family farm on River Road surrounded by relatives and cousins. His passion for farming and a love of the outdoors continued until his retirement in 2022. After that, he could be found fishing with his grandchildren or teaching them tasks and projects on the farm.

He was a 1971 graduate of Stuttgart High School and attended University of Arkansas at Monticello for 2 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Otella Maier.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Debbie Maier; his children, Jason, Jared and Jordan (Ashley) Maier, all of Stuttgart, and Jessica (Justin) Reidhar of DeWitt; his step-daughter, Christa (Jeremy) Story and step-son, Forrest Hall, all of West Memphis; a brother, Joe Maier of Stuttgart; 12 grandchildren, Corbin and Jayda Maier of California, Hunter Endres of Stuttgart, Kenzie and Keylee Reidhar of DeWitt, Mia Maier of Maumelle, Kanen and Keller Reidhar of DeWitt, Scarlett, Hazel and Hattie Maier of Stuttgart, and Emery Clem of West Memphis; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Thursday, February 26, at 1 p.m. at Turpin Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to follow in Turpin’s Chapel at 2 p.m.

Memorials may be designated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie.
