Jack Roger Heatherly went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2023. He was born in Cullman, Alabama, on December 13, 1942, to Joseph and Flora Johnson Heatherly.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Syble Smith Heatherly of Little Rock, daughter Kim Knoll of Little Rock, grandson Shane Strabala of Little Rock, grandson Drew Knoll(Samantha) of Little Rock, his pride and joy great-granddaughter Adalie Crea Knoll of Little Rock, sister Nelda Craig of Texas, brother John Heatherly of Mississippi and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack's greatest joys in life were his love of the Lord and his family. Jack was a devout Christian, husband, father and grandfather. As long as his family was ok, he was ok. When not spending time with his family, Jack loved shooting skeet. Jack was also a wealth of information to his family, be it questions regarding the Bible, plants, animals, the galaxy, history, you only had to ask Jack to get your answer.
Jack was a proud member of 40-plus years of Boilermakers Local 69. He continued to stay abreast of updates even after retiring.
A private service will be held at Turpin Funeral Home.
His family requests memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Arkansas Children's Hospital.
