Frances Ann Erstine

Frances Ann Erstine, 98, of Stuttgart, widow of Paul Wilson Erstine, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at Crestpark of Stuttgart.

Mrs. Erstine was born May 22, 1927, in Stuttgart to Floyd and Leona Fuqua Griffith. She was a graduate of Stuttgart High School and attended Little Rock Droan’s Business School. She was a member of Grand Prairie Methodist Church and will be best remembered for her many years as supervisor at Stuttgart Youth Center.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Erstine and his wife Jeanette; and son-in-law, James Sowell.

Survivors are her son, Alan Erstine of Altheimer; her daughters, Becky (Bob) Berry of Royse City, Texas, Marilyn Sowell of Stuttgart and Paula (Skip) Fudge of Maumelle; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorials be made to Stuttgart Public Library, 2002 S. Buerkle St., Stuttgart, Ark. 72160.
