Dorothy Lou Gunnell Inman

Dorothy Lou G. Inman , nee Gunnell, 89, of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, Jan. 18, 1934, in Casscoe, AR, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023 at her residence in Belleville, IL. Dorothy was a retired payroll clerk with IL American Water Company. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Belleville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her p arents, Andrew J. and Ellen G., nee Gean, Gunnell; brothers, Billy Gunnell, Charles Gunnell and Paul Gunnell; and sister, Mildred Mann.

Surviving are her h usband, Robert E. Inman of Belleville, IL; daughters, Robin (Dan) Voegele of Belleville, IL, Kim (Mike) Dyer of Belleville, IL, and Joni (Kent) Dintelmann of Belleville, IL; brothers, Alvin Gunnell and Larry (Brenda) Gunnell; sisters, Betty Gean Eifling, Gladys Johansson and Nancy Taylor; 10 grandchildren, Joe (Shawna) Taylor, Mike Taylor, Kelley (Patrick) Cody, David (Sarah) Dyer, Nick Dintelmann (Jason McDonald), Janey Dintelmann, Holly (Max Hocott) Dintelmann, Noah (Aliyah) Dintelmann, Abby Dintelmann and Carly Dintelmann; six great-grandchildren, Justin, Bryce, Lydia, Eliza, Silas and Levi; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Union United Methodist Church, 721 E. Main Street, Belleville, IL.; or Shiloh Cemetery fund.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at Union United Methodist Church, with Rev. Ed Weston officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Shiloh Cemetery in Crocketts Bluff, AR., by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
