Dora Louise Berg Inman, 103, of Stuttgart passed away May 28, 2025, surrounded by her family at Crestpark Retirement Inn in Stuttgart. She was born on November 13, 1921, to Dave and Bessie Berg in Hagler, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Clyde Inman, Sr.; granddaughter, Jan Foster; her brothers, Willis (Junior) Berg, Alvin Berg, Orville (Jackie) Berg, and Floyd Berg; her sisters, Evalena Shumate and Anna Salle.
Dora was a wonderful Christian woman who loved the Lord, her church, and her family. She was encouraging, always positive, and saw the good in everyone. Her children remember that she would always encourage them to try new things even when they thought they couldn’t. She would say, “you’re giving into your feelings, and you won’t know if you can until you try”.
Dora was very proud to be a charter member of the Grand Prairie Evangelical Methodist Church, currently the Grand Prairie Church, where she attended for close to 50 years. She was involved in the Good News after school program, Vacation Bible school, and taught Sunday school.
For many years, she was employed at the Family Shoe Center in downtown Stuttgart and when she retired, she spent some of her time at the Stuttgart Senior Citizens Center playing cards, games, and sharing meals with friends. She attended the exercise group at the center and sometimes she led the group when she was needed.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Langrell of Jefferson, Joan McCallie of Little Rock, and Clyde (Ann) Inman, Jr. of Stuttgart; her grandchildren, Marcie (David) Jacobs of Stuttgart, Kim (Ronnie) Harris of Jefferson, Shelley (Alan) Bardwell of Fayetteville, Scott (Sarah) Inman of Austin; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Kathryn (Kathy) Stiers of White Hall.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Crestpark that provided wonderful care for our mom, sister, and Nanny for the last 5½ years.
Funeral services will be held at the Grand Prairie Church, 1104 East 21st, Stuttgart, AR on Monday, June 2nd at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Reverend Thomas Borman will be officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to the Grand Prairie Church.
