Donald Christopher "Jug" Vaseur

Donald Christopher Vaseur, 66, of Humphrey passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at his home.

Jug, as he was affectionately known, was born July 15, 1960, in Cook County, Ill., to Elbert and Betty Vaseur. He was an auto mechanic and jack of all trades.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Tommy Vasuer and Johnnie Vaseur; and a sister.

Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Gayle Vaseur; daughter, April Scherm, of Pryor, Okla.; brothers, Robert Vaseur and Larry Vaseur of Stuttgart; sister-in-law, Melanie Colins of Pryor, Okla.; four sisters; grandchildren, Cody Hambrick (Kyia) of Fayetteville, Layne Scherm (Dusty) of Rison and Jeremy Scherm (Emily) of Locust Grove, Okla.; and three great-grandchildren, Jason, Nellie and Lydia.

Cremation services offered through Turpin Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
