Cindy Horton

Cindy Horton, 63, of Humphrey passed away Sunday, Jan.8, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Horton was born June 5, 1959, in Stuttgart to Deanna McFarland-Holt and Isom Pickett. She worked as a teacher's aide in the Humphrey public school system and subsequently in the DeWitt Public School system upon Humphrey's consolidation.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Addie Patterson Beasley; mother, Deanna McFarland-Holt; father, Isom Pickett; sisters, Tracy McFarland and Emma Pickett; and her brother, Cleo Pickett.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Horton; daughter, Melissa Hill; son, Randall Hill (Shaquawanna); sisters, Patricia (Albert) Miller, Jennifer (Ronald) Wilson, Betty Chambers, Janice Wofford and Barbara (Wilbert) Owens; brothers, Sean Rice, Eddie Beasley, Anthony (Kandi) Pickett and Ray (Marrietta) Pickett; and three grandchildren, Akyria, Raniya and Alanna; two very special aunts/honorary mothers, Margaret Rice and Susan Beasley; one very special friend, Martha Strickland; and a host of nieces, nephews, formers students and friends!!

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at Victors' Empowerment Center, 802 North College Street, Stuttgart, Arkansas 72160.
