Carrol Ray Ponder

Carrol Ray Ponder, 80, of Stuttgart, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2026, at his home.

Carrol was born May 26, 1946, at Brewer Bottoms in Arkansas County to Carl and Joyce Evelyn Gifford Ponder. He was a farm laborer and worked at Riceland Machine Supply until his retirement.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Shelby “Bear” Ponder, James K. Ponder, and Calvin “Doc” Ponder; and sister, Mary K. Warner.

Survivors are his mother, Joyce Evelyn Ponder of Little Rock, brothers, J.C. Ponder, Raymond Ponder (Cindy Doreen), Steve Ponder, Marvin Ponder, and J.E. Ponder (Cindy K.), all of Stuttgart, and Stacy Ponder (Cindy Dawn) of Tumbling Shoals; sisters, Barbara Franzen (Marvin) of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Mildred Baldwin (Donald) and Patsy Jean Mingie (Les Mingie), both of Little Rock; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Turpin Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour before. Burial will be in Bayless Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
