Carolena Rose Carle Maier

 Carolena Rose Carle Maier, 84, of Stuttgart, widow of Johnnie A. Maier Jr., passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at Baptist Health-Springhill.

Mrs. Maier was born Oct. 23, 1940, in Stuttgart to Alfred William Carle Sr. and Imogene Wallace Carle. She was a 1958 graduate of Stuttgart High School and graduated from Draughon School of Business. She worked most of her life at IPSCO/Stewart and Stevenson in Stuttgart as the office manager/purchasing manager.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for 84 years and was in charge or involved in numerous organizations within the church. She also led many organizations in the Stuttgart community and statewide.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa Maier; brothers, Alfred W. Carle Jr. and Leonard W. Carle; sister-in-law, Barbara Carle; and nephew, Dean Carle..

Survivors are her children, Michael Maier, Michelle Maier and Mark Maier and wife Kim, all of Stuttgart; sister, Aldora Carle Roth and husband Clark of Stuttgart; brother-in-law, Kenneth Maier and wife Carolyn of Stuttgart; sister-in-law, Anita Carle of Hope; grandchildren, Natalie Maier of Charlotte, Marlee Lovelace (Jayme) of Rogers, Haley King of Freeport, Texas, Meredith Maier (Kase) of Stuttgart, Macey Shock (Hunter) of Benton and Will Dewberry (Kaitlyn) of Almyra; great-grandchildren, Brooks Joslin, Michael David Mosenthin, Lilly Shock, Trace Oates, Mary Katherine Dewberry, Hazel Dewberry and expecting Stetson Lovelace; many nieces and nephews; and her devoted caregivers, Demey Henderson and Carol Griffie.

Visitation is 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church with funeral services, officiated by Pastor Don White, following at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
