Carl Christian Robnett

Carl Christian Robnett, 74, of Stuttgart departed this earth on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Robinson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Little Rock.

Chris was born on February 3, 1952, in Little Rock to Glenn and Edith Robnett. He graduated from Stuttgart High School, attended Marion Military Institute, and graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway with a Bachelor of Science in Education.

He lived most of his life in Stuttgart but spent ten years living in Oklahoma where he worked in the oil fields and in the oil sales industry. It was in the oil fields where he got his nickname “Rowdy,” a name that became how he was affectionately known in his final years in long term care. His social side played a large role in his different career paths. It was essential in his time in oil sales, in his work at the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce, and in the extensive time he spent as a duck hunting guide. And truly, that was his greatest passion: he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He spent much of his time and energy, for as long as he was able, anticipating and pursuing being in the outdoors. It was the place where he found great joy and peace. When he was no longer able to spend time there, it was a tremendous loss for him.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his brother Glenn Duke (Becky) Robnett of Frisco, Texas, and his sisters, Terri (Robnett) Curtis of Stuttgart and Mary (Robnett) Green of Little Rock. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including three nieces who assisted with his care in his final years: Christen (Curtis) Moss of Stuttgart, Amanda (Green) Norcross of Little Rock, and Samantha (Green) DeSalvo of North Little Rock.

The family is grateful to the staff at Robinson Nursing and Rehabilitation, including Josiah, Laurel, Monica, Brittany, Jeff, and Dustin and the staff at Gentiva Hospice, including Lindsey Haagenson RN, Chris Harcus RN, and Chaplain Barry Walker. Thank you for your care and compassion for him.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, in the sanctuary at Hunter’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Casscoe, AR. The funeral service will follow in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. with burial following in the cemetery.
