John Pijl, 77, of Stuttgart died Monday, January 16, 2012, at his home.

            He was born April 23, 1934, in Idaarderadeel, Netherlands, to Ben and Shirley Seerdsma Pijl. He was retired as a service station manager and a Baptist.

            Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Ryl.

            Survivors are four sons, David Pyl of Missouri, John Pyl of Conway, Kenneth Pyl of New Mexico and Mark Pyl of Hot Springs; one daughter, Nancy Davis and husband Robert of Mablevale; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
