I came to visit Douglas with my dad, Don Shoemake, on a genealogy hunt a few years ago. Douglas' mother was my grandfather's half-sister. It was such a pleasure visiting with him and Mrs. Lefler that day. I'll always remember how gracious they were to have us in their home. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. Message: Mr. Lefler was one of my favorite Sunday School teachers at First Baptist in Stuttgart back in the 60's. He will be missed in the Stuttgart community for his many good ideas to make Stuttgart a good place to live.
